SAIC is seeking a skilled Publishing and 508 Compliance Analyst to support our GAO customer. This role will focus on providing high level expertise for technical and non technical documents, ensuring Section 508 accessibility, quality, clarity, and cohesiveness of deliverables while contributing innovative design and content solutions. 

This position is fully remote and can be worked from anywhere within the United States

Key Responsibilities:

  • Determine project requirements, present deliverables to stakeholders, and ensure final products meet user needs, quality standards, Section 508 requirements, and WCAG 2.0/2.1 compliance
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on accessibility, providing guidance to team members and contributing to improved standards, workflows, and content solutions
  • Develop, remediate, and validate Section 508-compliant documents, including complex PDFs, reports, presentations, forms, and legacy materials
  • Perform advanced PDF remediation using Adobe Acrobat Pro and CommonLook, including tagging, reading order, table structure, form accessibility, OCR processing, and troubleshooting
  • Prepare Accessibility Conformance Reports (ACRs) and review VPATs to document and assess compliance
  • Test digital content using assistive technologies and automated tools, including JAWS, NVDA, WAVE, axe, and Lighthouse
  • Create and remediate accessible web and digital products using HTML5, applying proper structure, semantics, ARIA techniques, and WCAG-compliant behaviors
  • Develop and maintain accessible Microsoft Word templates, including standardized layouts, accessible formatting, VBA automation, and macro-enabled user interfaces.
  • Establish accessible design standards and publishing best practices across Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Cloud tools (InDesign, Captivate, FrameMaker)
  • Utilize ServiceNow to manage accessibility remediation tickets, track project status, document resolutions, and ensure timely communication with stakeholders
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to troubleshoot accessibility barriers, develop SOPs and guidance, and promote best practices for accessible content creation

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree and 3 years of related experience; Master's degree and 1 years of related experience
  • Demonstrated experience in Section 508 compliance and document remediation in federal or commercial environments
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a GAO Public Trust Clearance

Desired Experience:

  • DHS Trusted Tester Certification or similar recognized accessibility certification (e.g., IAAP CPACC, WAS, or WAS‑2)
     

Target salary range: $40,001 - $80,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
