SAIC is seeking an Quality Assurance Associate in Bedford, IN to support the U.S. Navy in Radar Restoration.
Job Description:
- The candidate must be able to conduct quality inspections, audits, and assessments on radar systems, components, and supporting processes to ensure compliance with engineering specifications, industry standards, and contractual requirements.
- Develop, maintain, and execute Quality Assurance (QA) plans, test protocols, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams (e.g., systems, hardware, and software) to resolve quality issues and support product improvement initiatives.
- Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and corrective/preventive action (CAPA) to address non-conformances or system issues.
- Monitor and document manufacturing and testing processes to ensure consistent quality practices are followed.
- Conduct supplier quality assessments and support supply chain quality initiatives as needed.
- Ensure compliance to ISO 9001, AS9100, or other applicable quality management system standards.
- Participate in design reviews and Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) to provide quality input during the development lifecycle of radar systems.
- Prepare quality documentation including reports, dashboards, and metrics to communicate quality performance to stakeholders.
- Support testing and validation activities for radar systems to ensure operational efficiency in various environments.

Qualifications
TYPICAL EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelors and 0 years related experience.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Physics, Quality Management, or a related field and zero (0) years of experience, 3-4 years of experience accepted in leu of a degree.
- 2–5+ years of experience in quality assurance, preferably within radar or other high-tech hardware systems.
- Familiarity with quality standards such as ISO 9001, AS9100, or similar.
- Experience with quality control processes, audits, and root cause analysis techniques.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
- Familiarity with radar system hardware or software is a plus.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite and quality tools.
- Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
