Job Summary: We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Quality Assurance Principal to join our talented team. In this role, you will create and implement programs to uphold quality standards for products and services. You will be responsible for developing policies, procedures, and methods to evaluate and enhance the quality of products, materials, components, and operations, while supporting improvements.
Work is performed on site in Norfolk, VA and Virginia Beach, VA.
This position is contingent upon award news Spring of 2026.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develops policies, procedures and methods to check product, material, components and/or operational quality and recommend improvements.
- Conduct detailed analysis of quality data to identify trends, root causes of defects, and potential areas for improvement using statistical methods like SPC (Statistical Process Control).
- Lead cross-functional teams in implementing quality improvement projects, including designing and executing experiments to optimize processes.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive quality control procedures and documentation, ensuring alignment with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct complex quality audits evaluating compliance with quality standards and identifying areas for improvement.
- Supervise and mentor junior quality control specialists, providing technical guidance and coaching on quality methodologies.
- Ensure adherence to all relevant quality standards, regulations, and industry best practices.
- Collaborate with suppliers to establish and maintain quality standards for incoming materials.
- Prepare detailed quality reports, including data analysis and recommendations, for management review.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- High school Diploma, related military experience, trade/industrial school graduate or GED equivalent.
- Nine (9) years of professional experience in quality control, preferably in Department of Defense (DoD) systems such as Electronics/Navigation Systems.
- Extensive experience in quality control roles, with significant expertise in statistical analysis, quality improvement methodologies, and industry-specific quality standards.
- Proficient in quality control software, data analysis tools, and statistical analysis packages.
- Proven ability to lead teams, manage projects, and influence cross-functional stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify root causes of quality issues and develop effective solutions.
- Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy in quality inspections and data analysis.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively convey complex technical information to various levels of management.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and quality control software
- Demonstrated communication and teamwork abilities.
- Communicate clearly and effectively with management and production line staff.
Required Security Clearance:
- US Citizenship required.
- Must possess or be able to obtain a Department of Defense (DoD) Secret security clearance.
- Active Interim Secret or final Secret clearance is preferred.
