Job Summary: We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Quality Assurance Associate to join our talented team. In this role, you will establish and uphold quality standards for products and services. You will ensure quality thorough checks and recommending enhancements for product, material, component, and operational quality. Additionally, offer support to engineering, IT, and business process improvement initiatives.

Work is performed on site in Norfolk, VA and Virginia Beach, VA.

This position is contingent upon award news Spring of 2026. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish and maintain quality standards of products and services.
  • Check product, material, components and/or operational quality and recommend improvements.
  • Conduct thorough inspections of raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods to identify defects.
  • Perform required tests on products using established procedures and recording results.
  • Analyze data and trends to identify root causes of quality issues and propose solutions.
  • Troubleshooting quality problems, identifying potential solutions, and implementing corrective actions.
  • Observe production processes to ensure adherence to quality standards and procedures.
  • Document and report quality issues to relevant personnel, including potential root causes and corrective actions.
  • Ensure proper calibration of testing equipment to maintain accuracy.
  • Participate in quality audits to assess compliance with standards and identify areas for improvement.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • 0-2 years of experience and Bachelor's degree.
    • High school Diploma, related military experience, trade/industrial school graduate or GED equivalent can be accepted in lieu of degree.
  • Stay abreast on quality control procedures and industry best practices through training programs.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Understanding of relevant industry standards, regulations, and quality control methodologies.
  • Ability to communicate quality concerns to production teams, management, and other stakeholders.
  • Experience with measuring tools like calipers, gauges, and testing equipment to verify product dimensions.
  • Collaborating with colleagues to meet deadlines and achieve goals.
  • Demonstrated communication and documentation skills.

Required Security Clearance:

  • US Citizenship required.
  • Must possess or be able to obtain a Department of Defense (DoD) Secret security clearance.
    • Active Interim Secret or final Secret clearance is preferred.
