SAIC is seeking a Quality Assurance Technician located in Hanahan, SC to support the US Navy on the Modular Vehicle Power Amplifier (MVPA) contract to perform inspections for non-conformances or issues with those kits or parts.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Perform routine inspections of materials and products to ensure they meet quality standards
- Work with peers and different departments to address quality issues and improve processes0
- Record any non-conformances and report them as applicable
- Ensure inspection and testing equipment is properly calibrated and maintained
- Assist in preparing for and conducting internal and external quality audits
Qualifications
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Associate Degree in Engineering Technology, or formal electronics training from: Technical School, or Class A or B military school in electronics or communications; additional two (2) years of relevant experience accepted in lieu of degree
- Three (3) years practical experience, to include: laboratory testing, manufacturing, or maintenance
- Capability to analyze data, interpret technical drawings and schematics, knowledge of cable assemblies, and apply information to practical tasks
- Proficiency with tools and equipment, i.e. multi-meter, calipers, micrometer, screwdrivers, mechanical tools, etc
- Precision in performing tasks and documenting results to ensure accuracy
- Basic computer skills and programs, i.e. Email, MS Word, Exel, etc.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues efficiently
REQUIRED CLEARANCE:
- Must be able to obtain a Public Trust; SAIC will help to obtain; Active DoD Clearance accepted
- Must be a current U.S. Citizen
