SAIC is seeking a Human Factors Engineer to support the United States Air Force's acquisition of the Sentinel ICBM program at Hill AFB as part of the Integrated Support Contract (ISC). This program is one of the Air Force's top modernization priorities, ensuring a safe, secure, and effective nuclear deterrent.

As a Human Factors Engineer at SAIC, you will have the unique opportunity to shape the future of the nation's strategic deterrent capability. You will work alongside a multidisciplinary team of experts and stakeholders, contributing to the design and development of advanced ICBM systems that are crucial for maintaining national security. Your role will involve integrating human factors principles to enhance system performance, usability, and safety within the complex environment of ICBM operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a technical expert on HSI-related efforts within the ICBM environment.
  • Support systems engineering activities by conducting user needs analysis, task flow analysis, interface design, usability testing, and statistical data analysis.
  • Engage in both technical and program management efforts to provide integrated and comprehensive analysis, design, and assessment of human performance requirements, concepts, and resources.
  • Develop human factors design, testing protocols, and applied research for ICBM products and services, including user/task flow analysis, process modeling, and interface design.
  • Review and evaluate prime contractor technical documentation, specifications, and design drawings.
  • Participate in technical reviews, offering sound advice and suggestions within the field to the Government customer.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering (Aerospace, Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial) or a related technical field (Physics, Mathematics) with 5+ years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree with 3+ years of relevant experience.
  • Current Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain a Top Secret Clearance.
  • Proven experience in systems engineering and defense systems.
  • Strong understanding of systems engineering processes, methods, and tools.
