Position Overview: We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Logistics Senior Principal to join our talented team. In this role, you will perform system fault analysis, life cycle maintenance, and integrated logistics support (ILS) for major systems, and manages the efficient flow of goods, services, and information from origin to customer, including planning and scheduling material movement based on engineering specifications and production schedules. You will ensure continuous improvement of logistics processes, contributing to program formulation, policy planning, coordination, and various integrated logistics functions such as maintenance, supply, transportation, and material management.
Work is performed on site in Norfolk, VA and Virginia Beach, VA.
This position is contingent upon award news Spring of 2026.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform system fault analysis, life cycle maintenance and integrated logistics support (ILS) and/or integrated product support (IPS) of major systems.
- Control the efficient flow of goods, services and information between points of origin through customer placement to meet customer requirements.
- Plan, schedule and manage the efficient movement of material from receiving or the warehouse to production.
- Develop raw material requirements, scheduling requirements from engineering specifications, production schedules, and plan and manage material movement with purchasing, warehouse, and production.
- Ensure the execution and continuous improvement of standard logistic processes.
- Logistics functions encompass maintenance, supply, transportation and logistics plans.
- Contribute to program formulation, policy planning, coordination, inspection, integrated logistics processes, joint planning logistics, acquisition and wholesale logistics, product support, asset visibility, material management and supervision.
- Oversee the entire logistics operation for a large organization, including multiple warehouses and distribution centers.
- Develop and implement complex logistics strategies to optimize efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Analyze large datasets to identify trends and areas for improvement in the supply chain.
- Manage budgets, forecast costs, and identify cost-saving opportunities within logistics operations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, and operations, to ensure seamless logistics execution.
- Identify and implement new technologies to enhance logistics processes and automation.
- Monitor performance metrics and KPIs to assess the effectiveness of logistics operations.
- Stay abreast of industry regulations and compliance requirements related to logistics.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Master's Degree and nine (9) years professional experience in integrated logistics support.
- Ability to develop and implement long-term logistics strategies aligned with business goals, including forecasting demand, capacity planning, and risk mitigation.
- Expertise in utilizing data analytics tools to identify trends, optimize inventory levels, and make informed decisions regarding transportation and warehousing.
- Proficient in identifying and resolving intricate logistical challenges, including supply chain disruptions, unexpected demand fluctuations, and regulatory compliance issues.
- Understand logistics costs, budgeting, and cost-optimization strategies to maximize efficiency and profitability.
- Understanding of all aspects of the supply chain, including procurement, transportation, warehousing, and distribution.
- Knowledge of logistics software, warehouse management systems (WMS), transportation management systems (TMS), and data visualization tools.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Demonstrated communication and documentation skills.
Required Security Clearance:
- US Citizenship required.
- Must possess or be able to obtain a Department of Defense (DoD) Secret security clearance.
- Active Interim Secret or final Secret clearance is preferred.
Desired:
- Current Professional Logistics Certification - i.e., Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) Level 3 certified or equivalent.
