SAIC is seeking a senior Subject Matter Expert (SME) for AFMSTT sustainment, acquisition, modification, government testing and evaluation.  (This is an onsite position at Hurlburt Field, FL...no remote).

Job Description:

  • Provide technical expertise as the system administrator for server-based exercise networks, servers, data services, and applications in a Linux environment by installing and configuring simulation software to include but not limited to AWSIM, ACE-IOS, & CSI.  
  • The SME will apply technical and Air Force Command and Control (C2) experience to analyze, develop, and evaluate issues, and develop recommendations to resolve substantive problems/issues of effectiveness and efficiency of Modeling and Simulation systems for C2 training operations.

Duties include:

  • Simulation scenario configuration, operations, database loading, implementing security fixes, and related system patches and monitoring during command, control, communications, computer, and intelligence (C4I) procedural training, evaluations, exercises, and experimentation tests for the USAF.
  • Perform system resource management and optimization of system operability as the single contact for problem solving support, including processing, documenting, and coordination of scheduled and unscheduled outages.
  • Analyzes, design, development, test and implement all phases for AFMSTT architectures and systems and emerging computer applications.
  • Support and maintain existing departmental computer applications and provide training/presentations to internal 505 CTS personnel and management.
  • Evaluate of model C2 training effectiveness, development and make recommendations for modifications to future constructive models.
  • Participate in the design of tests and evaluations, analyzing data, evaluating the operational implications, development of high-quality tests and evaluation documents, and application of results to the requirements process.
  • Provide support conducting future constructive model tests; supporting installation and checkout; documenting test results and dispositioning discrepancies and supporting internal Government program team tasks as required (briefings, inspections, meetings)

Qualifications

Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Proven Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs) of a Senior M&S Analyst with six (6) years of demonstrated experience in Modeling and Simulation operations, integration and maintenance
  • Operational and exercise experience in tier 1-4 exercise execution and the associated USAF M&S systems
  • Security+ Certification 
  • US Citizen and possess active Secret Clearance
  • Bachelor's and 9, or relevant years of experience

Desired

  • Experience with USAF exercise Planning. Program management
  • Experience with leading program teams, testing, and integration
