Introduction

Make a difference for national security by joining a team of dedicated IT professionals who will sustain, modernize and transform the enterprise IT capabilities for the Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA).  The Air Force, Space & Intel Business Group (AFSI) of SAIC is seeking a ServiceNow ABM Data Specialist to support a transformational infrastructure program for DCSA.

SAIC is proud to be supporting DCSA in safeguarding our nation's information. DCSA is the designated oversight authority on the accreditation of classified facilities, information systems, and the insider threat program. This involves security oversight of more than 10,000 companies and approximately 13,000 facilities involved in classified work throughout the DoD and 31 Federal agencies.

Specifically, on the DCSA One IT program, SAIC will provide an enterprise IT solution that delivers highly secure and adaptable IT infrastructure, provide customer support, and cutting-edge technologies that support operations and advance the DCSA mission under a single IT environment (i.e., One IT). This position is remote with limited travel.

Job Description

Performs data analytics, reporting, testing, and quality assurance activities in support of the Program Executive Office (PEO) and the Acquisition Budget Management (ABM) Tool within the ServiceNow platform. Supports transformative efforts to improve IT resource planning, operational visibility, workflow optimization, and enterprise reporting capabilities within the DCSA OCIO environment in accordance with DoD and DCSA policies, procedures, and data standards.

As part of an Agile DevSecOps Scrum team, the ABM Data Specialist develops dashboards, validates reporting accuracy, performs data analysis, supports testing efforts, and assists with quality assurance activities for ServiceNow enhancements and integrations. The specialist collaborates with cross-functional teams to validate requirements, participate in bug hunts, support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and ensure the successful deployment of reporting and workflow solutions.

This role supports the design, validation, testing, and maintenance of ServiceNow reporting capabilities, Platform Analytics dashboards, operational metrics, and automated reporting solutions. The specialist also contributes to defect identification, root cause analysis, data integrity validation, and process optimization initiatives while ensuring compliance with organizational governance and security standards.

The ServiceNow ABM Data Specialist supports continuous improvement efforts by evaluating emerging analytics, reporting, and testing methodologies to improve operational efficiency, reduce manual processes, and enhance stakeholder visibility into system and operational performance.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain ServiceNow dashboards, reports, and Performance Analytics solutions to support operational and strategic decision-making.
  • Develop customized reports and data visualizations tailored to stakeholder and business requirements.
  • Analyze operational metrics, SLA performance, incident trends, sprint metrics, and system usage data to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
  • Utilize ServiceNow reporting tools, Platform Analytics, and external data sources to extract, transform, validate, and present data effectively.
  • Conduct data quality audits and validation activities to ensure reporting accuracy, completeness, and consistency across environments.
  • Support testing efforts for ServiceNow enhancements, workflows, dashboards, integrations, and reporting solutions.
  • Participate in bug hunts, defect validation, root cause analysis, and troubleshooting activities related to ServiceNow applications and data processes.
  • Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities by validating business requirements, executing test scenarios, documenting issues, and coordinating defect resolution efforts.
  • Develop and execute functional, regression, integration, and reporting validation test cases to ensure solutions meet business and technical requirements.
  • Document, track, and communicate defects, reporting discrepancies, and data issues with clear reproduction steps and impact analysis.
  • Collaborate with developers, business analysts, testers, and project managers to review requirements, refine user stories, and validate acceptance criteria.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog refinement, retrospectives, daily stand-ups, and defect triage sessions.
  • Assist with maintaining reporting standards documentation, data dictionaries, metadata repositories, and operational procedures.
  • Develop automation solutions for recurring reporting, data validation, and quality assurance processes where applicable.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational data governance, security standards, and operational policies.
  • Research and recommend emerging analytics, reporting, testing, and automation tools to improve operational effectiveness and efficiency.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Business, or a related discipline from an accredited college/university.
  • Ten (10) or more years of related experience.
  • U.S. citizenship and an active Secret clearance.
  • Experience working in an Agile or Scrum software development environment.
  • Experience working with the ServiceNow platform, including reporting, dashboards, Performance Analytics, workflows, or operational support activities.
  • Familiarity with ServiceNow modules such as Incident, Change, Problem, Knowledge, or custom applications.
  • Experience supporting testing activities including User Acceptance Testing (UAT), regression testing, functional testing, and defect validation.
  • Experience participating in bug hunts, issue troubleshooting, and root cause analysis activities.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Experience with reporting tools, data analysis, and dashboard development.
  • Experience documenting defects, test results, and operational findings.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work across technical and business teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced operational environment.

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with ServiceNow Performance Analytics and reporting capabilities.
  • Familiarity with ServiceNow Automated Test Framework (ATF) or other testing tools.
  • Experience with SQL, Power BI, Tableau, or other business intelligence and analytics platforms.
  • Experience supporting enterprise application testing and quality assurance processes.
  • Understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC), QA methodologies, and Agile DevSecOps practices.
  • Prior experience supporting Government or DoD systems and environments.
  • ServiceNow Certified System Administrator or other ServiceNow certifications.
  • Experience with workflow automation, integration validation, and operational reporting optimization.
Target salary range: $120,001 - $160,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
