SAIC has an immediate need for a Software Configuration Coordinator to support the MLRS team located at Redstone Arsenal, Huntsville AL.
Job Description:
- The candidate will be responsible for coordinating Materiel Release/s, burning software onto UFM's SSD's DVD's CD's or any other portable drives necessary
- The ideal candidate will have a background in software manipulation, downloading/burning of CD's DVD's UFM's and SSD
- Maintaining of written shipping records, ITAR or any other required regulatory information regarding shipping Documentation
- Applicant will need the ability to interface with internal and external stakeholders to include test, safety, system engineering, and quality assurance
- Applicant will be required to work independently and develop processes that will ensure issues and problems are remediated expeditiously and per shipping guidelines in order to meet all requirements for each fielding.
Qualifications
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor's and two (2) years of experience; four (4) years of experience accepted in lieu of degree
Required Clearance:
- Must have an active Interim Secret Security Clearance to start; US Citizenship required.
Required Skills:
- Experience with software configuration management and fielding activities
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Desktop tools
- Experience with Delivery and Shipping of hardware & software
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel and Word, in particular)
- Excellent communication skills with ability to coordinate with projects leads
- Excellent analytical, problem solving and organizational skills
- Ability to lift 25lbs and maneuver staircases/uneven surfaces
Desired Skills:
- Experience with ADO JIRA or any commercial ALM tools.
- Experience or knowledge with establishing baselines, revision control, build management and process management.
- Defect tracking and experience working with Configuration Control Boards (CCB's) a plus
- Familiarity with the MLRS platform also plus.
