SAIC is seeking a Software Configuration Management Analyst to join the Advanced Hypersonic Weapons & Guided Munitions Division (E20) to support software development of Naval gun weapons systems in Dahlgren, VA.
- Maintain configuration management database.
• Maintain configuration status and provide reporting of status.
• Inventory management of government program hardware and software configuration items.
• Preparation of configuration items for test events.
• Support configuration control boards and processing of configuration changes.
• Develop and maintain program documents and standard operating procedures, program plans and briefings, execution reports, Technical Data Packages (TDPs), weekly and monthly status reports, other technical documents and reports, and a wide range of other Contract Data Requirement List (CDRL) items, working closely with multiple authors and program sponsors.
• Coordinate classified and unclassified formal meetings and reviews, including coordination with senior program staff, sponsors, and partner organizations interfacing with the program office research, acquisition, and test and evaluation.

Job responsibilities also include supporting configuration control boards and processing configuration changes. Developing and maintaining documents and standard operating procedures, program plans and briefings, execution reports, Technical Data Packages (TDPs), weekly and monthly status report, other technical documents and reports and a wife range of other Contract Data Requirement List (CDRL) items, while working closely with multiple authors and program sponsors. Additionally, coordinating meetings with senior program staff, sponsors and other partner organizations will be required.
Qualifications
Required Education and Experience:
- Bachelors in an engineering, scientific or technical discipline and two years of experience; Additional years of experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree
- Four (4) years general experience which includes three (3) years specialized experience in configuration management
- Thorough and comprehensive knowledge of configuration management principles, methods, and techniques; evaluating change documentation and developing impact assessments for planned configuration changes
- Experience with formal Change Control Boards related to ECPs, SCNs, SCDs, Deviations and Waivers Testing and evaluation experience
- Experience related to gun weapon systems and/or Army/Navy programs
- Ability to communicate with all levels of team members on the project
- Ability to work independently and interface professionally with other government agencies, contractors, military personnel
- Ability to define task details, estimates, and schedules using Microsoft Office products (e.g., Excel, Project, PowerPoint, and Word)
- Must have an active Secret security clearance
Desired Skills:
- Experience with Hyper Velocity Weapons preferred
- Familiarity with research and development projects a plus
