SAIC is looking for a Software Engineer for a position located in San Diego, CA. This position supports the Joint Cross Domain eXchange (JCDX) program.
JOB DUTIES:
The candidate shall perform software engineering design and development activities to produce reliable, modular, and secure software components.
The work will include development of software on a RHEL OS platform.
This will include software development with custom C++ based applications, X windows-based applications, and web-based middleware.
Development will consist of application writing and policy for security accreditations.
Qualifications
REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's degree and two (2) years of experience; years of experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree.
Must be a U.S. Citizen
Must have an Active Secret Clearance to start
Must be able to obtain a Top Secret clearance after start
3-5 years industry experience designing, building, and maintaining large scale systems in production.
Experience with C++.
Experience working with Nginx or Apache servers with a solid background in Linux.
Strong CS fundamentals including data structures, algorithms, and distributed systems.
Expertise in front-end technologies, including JavaScript, React, CSS3 and HTML5 and third-party libraries such as React Js, Angular, jQuery and LESS.
Familiarity with DBMS technology, including PostgreSQL, Oracle, MongoDB and MySQL.
Basic design ability: Including knowledge of UI/UX and basic prototype design.
Excellent understanding of low-level operating systems concepts including multi-threading, memory management, networking and storage, performance, and scale.
Ability to visualize a proposed system and be able to build it.
Target salary range: $120,001 - $160,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
