Are you ready to ascend to the next frontier of defense and security? To steer the vanguard of space operations where cutting-edge analysis meets strategic command decisions? Here's your chance to embark on a mission-critical journey with the Space Warfighting Analysis Center (SWAC) as part of the Enduring High Level Cell (EHLC) in the beautiful, rugged landscape of Colorado Springs, CO as our latest Space Wargaming Project Analyst here at SAIC. Join us onsite, full-time, where action meets strategy.
 
As the newest member of our elite team, you'll immerse yourself in the heart of space operations. You will spearhead human-in-the-loop analysis, applying your extensive knowledge and fostering relationships with joint program-level offices. Your role is pivotal in melding distinct capabilities into a seamless analytical force to safeguard our space equities coordinating and collaborating with joint level capabilities within the Intelligence Community (IC) and Department of Defense (DoD).
 
Fun stuff you will do on the job:

  • Use your knowledge of SWAC and SSDP Mission Area Designs and help coordinate events that test our preparedness against the ever-evolving orbital threats.
  • Author comprehensive briefings, channeling your research into reports that will enlighten and guide space warfare strategies.
  • Utilize your knowledge of various Joint Operational Plans (OPLANS), space and terrestrial capabilities to align the requirements of SWAC & SSDP Mission Area Design recommendations into integrated analysis products to support a cohesive defense strategy.
  • Engage with an array of stakeholders across the DoD and IC, managing security portfolios that are essential to our integrated analysis endeavors.
  • Leverage your network within program offices and the IC to fuel model-based systems engineering, translating complex systems and threats into analytical software tools.

Qualifications

This is you:
  • Bachelor's degree with 9 years of applicable experience (4 additional years of experience may be used in lieu of degree. Must have an active TS/SCI and be willing to submit to a poly.
  • 3+ years of experience, expertise and knowledge of USSF systems and Mission Area Designs (MADs).
  • Experience developing and presenting to leadership decision quality briefings and papers.
  • Understanding of the outer space environment and operations as well as counterspace threats, especially pertaining to space-based weapons.
  • Demonstrated problem solving/critical thinking in complex and dynamic environments.
  • Experience working in classified, compartmented, and Special Access Program/ Special Access Required environments.
  • Ability to meet with program office and IC counterparts including travel.

  • Experience developing and presenting to SSDP/SWAC leadership decision quality briefings and papers.

Target salary range: $120,001 - $160,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
