SAIC is currently looking for a Systems Engineer Journeyman to support our team located in Huntsville, AL.
The Systems Engineer Journeyman will be responsible for but not limited to the following responsibilities:
Ensure that engineering efforts follow the Department's Systems Engineering Lifecyle process.
Work in a multifaceted team with many stakeholders (engineering, logistics and program leadership) in problem solving efforts for designated aspects of complex problems with many competing objectives, variables, and constraints.
Assist with documenting solutions in relation to the technical, cost, and schedule constraints.
Development and review of various technical documentation, including change management documentation, presentation materials, and white papers.
Participate in and assist in activities for various segments of program execution, which may include Risk Management, Configuration Management, and Technical Reviews.
Communicate with stakeholders across program offices and industry stakeholders
Qualifications
Required Education:
- Bachelor's degree and two (2) years' experience
Required Clearance:
- Must possess an active Secret security clearance with the ability to maintain; US Citizenship required.
Required Skills:
- Understanding of IT risk management principles and industry standards.
- Proficiency in risk assessment methodologies, vulnerability assessment tools, and security frameworks.
- Possesses excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess complex situations and provide practical solutions.
- Effective communication skills to convey technical information clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Possess a collaborative attitude with the ability to work across different teams and departments
Desired Skills:
- Avionics experience either HW or SW
