Position Description: Systems Test Engineer (533) 

This role requires a versatile Engineer to provide comprehensive technical and systems engineering support for Electronic Warfare (EW) systems in the Expeditionary Electronic Warfare Division (MXQ) at NSWC Crane. This position bridges the gap between complex engineering operations and technical communication—translating system designs, test data, and integration efforts into actionable, highly accurate documentation for Government and technical stakeholders.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Support developmental test and evaluation (DT&E) activities for Electronic Warfare systems and subsystems across the system lifecycle.
• Develop detailed test plans, procedures, and test reports to support verification and validation of system requirements.
• Design, plan, and execute laboratory and field tests as well as configure and operate test instrumentation, RF measurement equipment, and data acquisition systems used in EW testing.
• Coordinate with government engineers, program managers, and integrated product teams (IPTs) to ensure effective test planning and execution.
• Analyze test data, produce technical assessments identifying technical risks, troubleshoot system anomalies and evaluate performance reports documenting system capability and compliance with requirements.

Qualifications

Educational Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related engineering discipline with coursework in RF, microwave engineering, or electromagnetic theory 

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum 3 years of professional experience in RF, microwave, or electronic systems engineering.
• Experience supporting test engineering, integration, or verification activities within a systems engineering environment.
• Familiarity with Electronic Warfare systems, RF propagation, signal analysis, or electromagnetic spectrum operations.
• Experience using RF test equipment such as spectrum analyzers, signal generators, network analyzers, or similar instrumentation.
• Experience developing test plans, test procedures, and test reports for technical systems.
• Ability to interpret system requirements and translate them into testable verification methods.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams and government stakeholders.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to travel in support of test events, field demonstrations, and integration activities. 
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret/SCI security clearance. A minimum of an Interim Secret clearance is required
• Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.
