SAIC is seeking rising juniors or seniors to join the Ground-Based Radar Maintenance and Sustainment Services (GMASS) for the summer of 2026, GMASS has a Technical Writer Internship position available. These interns will be performing technical documentation support on a government radar system. The position under this job requisition will be in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
Roles and responsibilities potentially include:
· Work side-by-side with subject matter experts to document and update legacy hardware and software system's technical orders and engineering drawings
· Review and assess requirements, diagrams, and documents
· Learn to utilize Adobe FrameMaker, Adobe Acrobat Pro, Jira, and Confluence
Areas of Technical Interest:
· Knowledge of drafting tools
· Knowledge of Technical Documentation
· Ability to interpret technical drawings
· Desire to cross collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
Qualifications
· Pursuit of BA or BS in Technical Writing, English, Communications or other applicable degree program
· Ability to work with multidisciplinary teams
· **Must be willing and able to obtain a Secret security clearance NOTE: Federal law requires US citizenship to obtain a clearance
Target salary range: Up to $40,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
