SAIC is seeking a well-rounded Test Engineer Senior to lead test activities for a team of EEs, MEs, programmers and other project personnel involved in delivering concepts and products related to aircraft and other military systems. The candidate will directly support Government program(s) as a test engineer throughout the entire program lifecycle. The candidate will support test during all aspects of design and will test and debug circuit card assemblies, embedded systems and other hardware and software systems. Candidate will be expected to lead and advise other test personnel as well as other engineers. Candidate will work multiple projects and will develop test plans, procedures and reports. Candidate will work with test equipment architects to determine test strategies for products. Candidate will work with team on requirements allocation, will identify best method for verification of requirements, and will author analyses to document system compliance with customer requirements. Candidate will analyze test results, assist with fault analysis of electronic assemblies and SW contructs, and work with engineering team on corrective actions and potential product improvements. Candidate is expected to possess excellent communication skills to interface to multi-disciplinary design team as well as customers.
Qualifications
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Candidate must possess the following qualifications:
· Minimum of Bachelors degree in relevant engineering discipline and five (5) years or more experience, or Masters degree and three (3) years or more experience
· Experience with requirement generation, management, allocation, and tracking
· Strong background with electronic power systems, communications protocols, RF systems, sensor systems, and other military electronic assemblies
· Background in troubleshooting embedded SW and electronic components on CCAs.
· Strong background in developmental and qualification testing of embedded systems, to include test planning, documentation, set up, and execution
· Strong background in product design review processes, to include preparation of review documentation and products, and presentation of material in a structured development environment (i.e. defense, medical, automotive, etc…)
· Must be able to obtain a minimum of a secret security clearance
· Must be U.S. citizen
DESIRED SKILLS: Not required, but ideal candidate would also possess the following skills:
· Experience with Labview and test stands
· Experience with design and implementation of BIT in electronic systems
· Experience with military organizational, intermediate, depot and factory acceptance level test and test equipment
· Experience with military QA and Change Management requirements
· Experience with power systems, RF systems, acoustic systems, communications protocols, and embedded systems and devices
· Experience with DoD weapons integration, aircraft systems and weapons control and delivery systems and associated test equipment
· Already possess military security clearance at the Secret or above level
