SAIC is seeking a Theater Fires Planner to join our team supporting United States Army Central (USARCENT) at Shaw AFB in South Carolina.

This position may have some limited Overseas travel to Austere locations.

NOTE:  This immediate need is ongoing to support CENTCOM AOR with a six (6) month period of performance (add on support expected) 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Serve as principal advisor and subject matter expert for the integration and employment of joint and multinational, lethal and non-lethal, fires at the Army Service Component Command (ASCC) level.  
  • Lead and contribute to the Military Decision-Making Process (MDMP) and Joint Planning Process (JPP).
  • Develop Fires and Targeting portions of Theater Campaign Plans, OPLANs, and CONPLANs.
  • Ensure long-range precision fires are synchronized with Joint All-Domain Command and Control (JADC2) assets.
  • Facilitate the Decide, Detect, Deliver, and Assess (D3A) methodology within the Joint Targeting Cycle.
  • Represent ASCC interests during the Joint Targeting Coordination Board (JTCB).
  • Coordinate with Theater Fires Cell, JFACC, and multinational partners.
  • Support Crisis Action Planning (CAP) cells and draft executive-level Information Papers as needed.

Qualifications

Required Education:

  • Bachelor's degree and ten (10) years' experience; additional four (4) years' experience can be considered in lieu of degree.
  • Graduation from Captains Career Course and Intermediate Level Education (ILE/CGSC).
  • Joint Professional Military Education (JPME) Level I/II strongly preferred.
  • Mastery of FM 3-09 and JP 3-60.
  • Proficiency with AFATDS, JADSI, and GCCS-J.

Required Clearance:

  • Must possess an active TS/SCI (US Citizenship required).

Required Skills:

  • Must possess the ability to operate independently, executing the commander's intent with limited oversight.  
  • Candidate will also have served at an operational level headquarters and have a working understanding of Army Operations.
