SAIC is seeking an Unmanned Systems Field Service Representative to join our team in Panama City Beach, FL.

Job Duties:

  • Deploy, recover, and perform routine/preventive maintenance on Unmanned Surface Vehicles (USVs) and Unmanned Underwater Vehicles (UUVs) at customer sites or remote locations, including coastal and offshore environments.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and software systems on USVs and UUV identifying and resolving issues in real-time.
  • Provide on-site and remote technical support and training to Navy and research customers.
  • Maintain detailed service logs, issue reports, and preventative/corrective maintenance records using Navy systems.
  • Ensure compliance with company and Navy safety protocols, environmental regulations, and customer site procedures during all field operations.
  • Interface with engineering and product development teams to report field performance, suggest improvements, and participate in system upgrades.
  • Support sea trials, customer testing, and Fleet training as needed.
  • May be required to assist with fabrication and assembly of replacement and spare parts.

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelors and two (2) years of relevant experience; Masters degree and zero (0) years of relevant experience; 4 years of additional experience in lieu of a degree.

Required Security Clearance:

  • Must have an active Interim Secret clearance with the ability to obtain a Secret Clearance (US Citizenship required).

Required Skills:

  • Minimum 4 + Years of Experience.
  • Working on marine engines, outdrives, and outboard motors.  OEM Certification(s) are a plus.
  • Working with marine electronics – GPS, radar, AIS, RF radios, etc.
  • Vessel operations.
  • Vessel trailer operations and maneuvering.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and follow technical drawings and other technical documents.
  • Ability to work in small, confined spaces such as engine rooms and hull compartments required.
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Office products.
  • Ability to work in non-climate-controlled spaces during all seasons.

Desired Skills:

  • Prior experience supporting Navy USV or UUV platforms.
  • Prior experience supporting Navy USV or UUV training.
  • Prior experience with Navy Minesweeping Systems.
  • Prior experience with USV or UUV payload packages.
  • Captain's license a plus but not required.
  • Welding experience is a plus but not required.
  • Prior Navy or military service is a plus.
