SAIC is seeking a secret cleared Video Teleconferencing (VTC) Technician in Colorado Springs to support the NORAD NITES program. The VTC Technician will be responsible for the operation, and maintenance of Unclassified/Classified/REL VTC systems, Audio/Video (A/V) systems, VTC conference rooms, satellite television/broadcast systems, and related services at the N&NC HQ. 

The VTC Technician will also schedule conference rooms and be in support of the government. The role includes providing responsive support for the top leadership, managing high-priority incidents, and ensuring the highest level of service quality. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct monthly preventative maintenance for all relevant AV/VTC systems. Ensure issues are reported through Help Desk ticketing system with corrective action plans and timelines.
  • Provide 24/7 troubleshooting support for exercises, real-world events, and contingencies.
  • Operate, maintain, and monitor all events in relations of the Training Rooms.
  • Oversee and update all service desk incident and service requests to ensure QoS and minimal downtime.
  • Keep track of hardware/software updates and provide recommendations to the Government Service Owner.
  • Coordinate and provide support for conference room setups, including AV/VTC system checks and environmental conditioning.
  • Operate and manage the N&NC community CATV system, including Tier 1/2 support, coordination with service providers, and infrastructure maintenance.
  • Schedule, set-up, configure, operate, and support conference rooms based on event

requirements and additional requirements as directed by AAS COR, N&NC TPOC,

and Government VTC Service Owner. Conference room support includes:

  •  Operational check monitoring of A/V and VTC equipment, partition walls, lights,

electrical and room air conditioning (e.g., humidity).

  • Configuring furniture placements (i.e. tables, chairs, podium, stage).

  • Microphone and camera placements in training room(s), as directed by event

Action Officer or POC.

  • Promptly keeping Action Officer or POC abreast on concerns/issues as

appropriate.

  • Support two or more simultaneous events.

  • Basic A/V, VTC, and IT troubleshooting.

  • Assisting Protocol, Action Officer, and/or POC with best effort room

configuration, seating charts, and flag set-up in support of events.

  • Testing of A/V and VTC equipment for meetings, briefings, ceremonies, and

conferences.

  •  The contractor shall manage and operate the N&NC community antenna television

(CATV) system. Support includes:

  • Tier 1/2 support of issues and escalating/incidents to Tier 3 (satellite television)

 

Qualifications

TYPICAL EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelors and two (2) years or more experience; Masters and 0 years related experience.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field plus 0-2 years' experience or 4 years equivalent military/civilian experience.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of VTC systems and AV technologies. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to respond to high-pressure situations promptly and efficiently.
  • Required Certification: IAT Level II (Security +) 
  • Preferred Certification: any relevant Crestron Certifications
Target salary range: $80,001 - $120,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
