Description

The Workforce Support Specialist manages, facilitates, and coordinates a diverse portfolio of critical workforce support programs, including training delivery, performance management, deployment lifecycle, and physical space planning. This role is responsible for the end-to-end execution of these programs, serving as a key point of contact for the workforce, ensuring compliance with all agency and regulatory guidance, and providing data-driven updates and recommendations to leadership.

Work will be performed at the customer site in Springfield, VA. 

The hiring of this position is contingent upon contract award. Anticipated award is fall of 2026. 


Duties May Include:

  • Develop and maintain the directorate's physical space implementation plan, monitoring vacacies and optimizing seating arrangements.
  • Provide assignments management support.
  • Assist with processing of civilian external and internal vacancy announcements.
    Assist with processing of civilian position changes, managing external applications and coordinating with customer recruiting, hiring managers, relocation team, and applicants to support the external hiring process for customer employees.
  • Receiving and acting on guidance and direction from the career component team members to accomplish general and routine office requirements.
  • Assist with developing Standard Operation Procedures, guides and other career field products in accordance with customer style HR materials.
  • Provide Records Management support.
  • Use customer systems to accomplish personnel actions that support career field activities.
  • Assist with planning and integrating career field processes and strategies for career field operations.
  • Assist with managing and monitoring the evaluation cycles of various career development activities. 
  • Assist in coordination and planning of career field events.
  • Participate in meetings and draft meeting summaries/minutes.
  • Use functions of Microsoft Office and SharePoint daily

Qualifications

Required Skills:

  • Active TS/SCI is required
  • Willing and able to obtain a Polygraph
  • Education: A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Psychology, or a related field.
  • Experience: A minimum of 5-7 years demonstrated experience managing or
    coordinating multiple programs in a fluid, changing environment. In lieu of a degree 7-10+ years.
  • Strong knowledge of and experience applying federal workforce regulations, including performance management principles (e.g., DCIPS).
  • Experience as an instructor or facilitator with strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel for data sorting and report generation.
  • Experience reviewing and editing official documents or intelligence reports, with a strong understanding of analytic tradecraft standards (ICD 203, 206).
  • Demonstrated experience collaborating with and providing support to diverse audiences, including employees with disabilities.
     

Desired Skills:
 

  • At least 24 months of experience planning and implementing programs and resolving issues requiring cross-organizational coordination.
  • Demonstrated experience using travel and deployment systems (MET, DTS, SPOT, APACS).
  • Specific experience with PeopleSoft and the DCIPS Performance Management system.
  • Experience developing data visualizations or dashboards using tools like Tableau.
