These are just some of the benefits you can expect from working with Savage Day-Shift $30 - $36 an hour DOE We provide Uniforms & PPE (laundering included) Annual steel-toe boot allowance Paid Holidays Excellent benefits including medical, dental, vision, 401(k) with match, and profit sharing Employee Discount program What you will be doing Perform scheduled preventative maintenance (fueling, greasing, oil changes, inspection) on mobile heavy equipment at our crude and pipe transload facilities, which includes, but is not limited to: wheel loader, 20,000-lbs forklifts, locomotive, etc. Troubleshoot and perform major and minor repairs to mobile heavy equipment. Repairs include electrical, suspension, brake, hydraulic, and air systems, Some welding and fabricating Maintain shop cleanliness and 5S standards Learn and partner with the Maintenance Manager to utilize the CMMS system as a tool of organization and preventative maintenance record keeping Ensure all work is performed in compliance with regulatory requirements Follow proper safety rules, maintenance and operating procedures Assist with writing and revising maintenance procedures as needed Support other areas of the operation, as deemed by the Maintenance Manager, even in areas outside typical heavy equipment mechanic duties What You'll need:  Prior experience as a heavy-duty mechanic required Electrician experience/ certifications are a plus Experience in troubleshooting and repairing heavy equipment such as Volvo and Cat Excavators and Loaders An expert in identifying and diagnosing needed repairs by computer-based systems, being able to visually recognize problems a big plus Ability to follow written and/or verbal instructions with minimal supervision Welding experience a plus   Knowledge and experience using a CMMS is helpful Dependability in attendance is required Effective interfacing with internal leadership, direct reports, external vendors and other team members Self-starter capable of working independently, in line with company goals, strategies and policies Excellent planning and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and carry critical projects to completion A strong record of continuous improvement, personal development and attention to detail Physical requirements for this role  Occasionally lift up to 100 lbs Ability to work overtime when needed Willing to live and/or relocate to the western North Dakota area On your feet for an extended period of time throughout the day Navigating the facility will include, but is not limited to, exposure to harsh weather conditions, uneven ground, ladders, racks and other high places, ground that can be slick, icy or uneven, and other industrial hazards The work site is an industrial setting and will require someone who can work safely around this type of environment, as well as ensure compliance to strict OSHA and State regulations #IND1
