Savage is seeking a Transload Operator who's primary responsibility is to safely and timely, load rail cars from tank and trucks within the facility. What you will be doing: Loading & Unloading rail cars Visually inspect rail cars Cross train and willingness to assist in the different functions performed at the facility Participate in and promote Savage safety program What you'll need: Basic industrial maintenance skills Attend and pass all training associated with job related coursework. This includes but is not limited to: OSHA, HazMat and FRA related courses. May require travel to other sites for job training Willingness to wear required PPE Holidays and weekends availability if needed Work experience in an industrial environment A high school diploma, or equivalent Ability to read, write and understand English Here are some of the physical requirements of this role: Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions Comfortable with heights Walk 5+ miles per day on uneven terrain, etc. Must be able to lift 50 lbs. Ability to work, walk, and stand on uneven ballast surfaces for long periods of time
