Job Description

This position will be responsible to work closely with other functional areas to initiate and deliver new product launch projects from start to finish. This position will consult with leaders, develop cross-functional relationships within the company, and throughout our customer's key project management teams, to successfully commercialize projects (new product introduction, product or package renovation, productivity or strategy) while implementing performance baseline and process governance mechanisms. They will be accountable for delivering projects on time by effectively managing ongoing risk/issues and ensure the team members adhere to deliverables. This individual leads the planning and implementation as well as communication aspects of the project between the customer and Schreiber Foods. Integral to the position is strong communication and excellent project management skills as this position is the liaison between Sales, R&D, PLS, Supply Chain, and Operations. This role is accountable for obtaining clearly defined project success criteria and outcomes that aide in achieving desired strategic, business outcomes. This will be accomplished by leading cross functional teams through Schreiber's project management process, Enterprise Project Management (EPM).

This role offers a flexible hybrid work schedule (Monday-Friday) located at our Home Office in Green Bay, Wisconsin. The hybrid work schedule is 3 days/week onsite at Home Office and 2 days/week from home.

What you'll do:

  • Lead the execution of short and long term customer-driven new product development projects from Business Brief approval to commercialization.
  • Commercialization projects consist of packaging redesigns, product line extensions, new product launches and customer driven capital expenditure projects.
  • Serve as a liaison to key internal functional areas to ensure customer expectations are exceeded and schedules and budgets are met.
  • Anticipate, communicate and manage issues and risks to project success.
  • Lead the development of project timeline, work breakdown structure and resource requirements.  Lead Pre-Trial discussions with key stakeholders to ensure Schreiber and Customer expectations are clearly defined and system and documentation requirements are in place.
  • Ensure adherence to Schreiber's project management process (EPM) in order to achieve desired project outcomes.
  • Manage day-to-day activities of the project team; guide them to understand and apply the EPM process. 
  • Daily engagement with cross-functional team(s) primarily consisting of: Sales, Operations, R&D, Engineering, Quality Assurance and Supply Chain
  • Facilitate and lead weekly discussions with cross-functional team(s) to communicate status of current deliverables and elevate any topics impacting success of project delivery. 
  • Manage and communicate project status, schedule, and deliverables.
  • Respond to customer leads and pro-actively communicate with management regarding the commercialization status of all products.
  • Together with the leadership team, ensures compliance with Food Safety and Food Quality Plans, in addition to customer requirements. Interprets and communicates customer requirements to plant production and/or support groups. Establishes and Audits PCPs, CCPs and Standard Operating Procedures to define and monitor processes, to ensure customer requirements are met. Reviews incidents during which the procedures are not met, and determines appropriate corrective action for partners failing to follow standard procedures.

What you need to succeed:

  • Bachelors in Business, or other related field        
  • 5-7 years of experience in Sales, Engineering, Marketing, Supply Chain, Project Management
  • Internal Candidates: Successful or better performance ratings
  • The ability to apply leading-edge processes necessary to drive profitable growth for Schreiber Foods. The effective candidate will also possess excellent communication and organizational skills with an ability to work effectively in a fast paced and dynamic team environment.
  • Must possess resiliency, excellent communication, planning and organizational skills.
