Essential Functions:
Process inbound & outbound carrier check-ins in a timely manner.
Verify driver credentials, CDL, and transportation carrier against scheduled appointments.
Assign dock doors to carriers based on load type, priority, and warehouse material stage location.
Communicate Carriers arrivals, load priorities, delays, to DC team.
Maintain an accurate and up-to-date yard log tracking all trailers on property, including empty, loaded, and drop trailers.
Accurately identify and record lot code, product, and other ingredient information.
Update orders with all required information (Name, Shipping lane) and mark off items once they have been picked. Make sure to use the correct license plate (LP) when picking orders
Communicate with carriers and vendors to arrange scheduled appointment times for inbound and outbound orders.
Responsible for accurate and timely traffic reports
Collaborate and maintain a clear line of communication with Warehouse and DC leadership teams, Sales, Finance, and Operations as needed.
Report/Document trailer conditions, seal integrity, and any visible damage upon arrival.
Ensure Outbound loads are properly sealed and documented before departure.
Education/Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED preferred
- 1-2 years Office/Warehouse experience preferred
- Ability to obtain forklift certification preferred
Skills:
- Excellent organizational and oral/written communication skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with supervisors/managers, colleagues and individuals inside and outside the organization.
- Demonstrate functional and technical knowledge, ability to learn new skills quickly, and achieve a high level of accomplishment.
- Must be able to speak, read, and comprehend English to ensure understanding of safety instructions, work procedures, policies, and communications essential to job performance.
- Ability to extract, analyze, and act on information with limited supervisory input.
- Ability to multi-task and handle changing priorities
- Ability to operate material handling equipment. i.e. forklifts, pallet jack riders.
- Problem-solving and statistical skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Exhibit a professional manner in dealing with others and work to maintain constructive working relationships.
- Able to lift up to 50+ lbs
