This position is responsible for developing, managing, and supporting operations systems used primarily on the plant floor and by Operations leaders including Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA), Human-Machine Interfaces (HMI's), Manufacturing Execution System (MES), data collection (Historian), operational reporting and dashboards, and integrations with other company systems while also utilizing database systems for storing and retrieving data. This position works with Operations Systems/Controls partners as well as Operations, Engineering, Maintenance, IT, and contractors to identify opportunities and user needs that will increase safety, operational efficiency, control, and performance of production assets and partners. The position designs and develops solutions, system modifications, and enhancements for productivity improvements consistent with company standards and industry best practices. The position also manages projects and contributes to the company standards and improvements in the operations systems/controls space with collaboration throughout the company.

Role & Responsibilities:

Support Focus:

  • Analyze the health of Industrial plant servers and troubleshoot performance problems.

  • Provide 24/7 on-site and on-call support for project-related and company-wide issues (SCADA and Wonderware automation/integration systems).

Development Focus:

  • Collaborate closely with plant partners to understand SCADA and automation enhancements and requirements.

  • Extend and enhance features and functionalities within the system.

  • Create new machine models, IO tags, Historian views, and meaningful graphics/metrics.

  • Assist in defining appropriate application and data architecture.

  • Participate in the adoption, implementation, and feature development of new plants (including new processes or production lines).

  • Foster collaboration with international partners, considering language barriers and cultural differences.

  • Develop and maintain well-documented, reusable code following established standards.

  • Adhere to change management and code versioning policies.

  • Identify improvement opportunities for the processes and systems associated with the global platform.

  • Participate in solution and vendor selection processes.

Plant Digitalization:

Key Ingredients:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business or related field

  • +6 years of experience in Operations Systems/Industrial Control Systems (within a manufacturing environment is preferred). 4-5 years of experience in Wonderware System Platform development and support.

  • Fluency in English and Spanish. Other languages will be considered as a plus

  • Smart Manufacturing Industry 4.0 experience. Plant Digitalization

  • Proficiency in troubleshooting REST APIs

  • Familiarity with Visual Basic, C# and .NET languages

  • Experience with relational databases, including SQL query development using SQL Management Studio

  • Prior use of debugging tools, such as the System Platform Management Console

  • Ability to work with the Object Viewer to extract real-time data from the Wonderware Galaxy

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with proven fluency in English

  • Knowledge of Siemens TIA Portal, PLC, and WinCC Programming

  • Familiarity with field bus technologies (Profibus, ProfNet, Modbus TCP, Asi bus)

  • Understanding of Virtualization, IT systems, Network, and Cybersecurity

  • Exposure to Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) concept
