ASSISTANT RETAIL MANAGER SUMMARY:  

Hold daily responsibility of the operations of Shore Lodge Whitetail Club retail outlets, ensuring they run smoothly by supporting staff on the sales floor and handling administrative duties.

WHAT YOU GET TO DO:

  • Responsible for the success of Shore Lodge Whitetail Club retail shops. Creating an atmosphere that will inspire guests, members, and employees to return again and again. 
  • Execute all retail outlet activities and operations with respect to organizational SOPs to achieve sales targets within set timelines. 
  • Maintain appealing atmosphere within the retail shops through merchandising as consistent with vision of Retail Manager and internal Retail Merchandiser.
  • Respond to customer inquiries and complaints and make appropriate recommendations for products or solutions to meet their needs and expectations.
  • Conduct training and guidance to new and existing employees for the multiple products and their features, creating improvements in performance levels for all employees within the retail outlets. 
  • Ensure that our retail team members are given the proper support and direction so that they may provide quality service to our guests during their buying experience with us.
  • Assist with creation of employee schedules and ensure employees are informed of their schedule and shift responsibilities, assist with schedule changes and ensure appropriate coverage. 
  • Input and receive orders into POS and inventory tracking systems, tag all retail merchandise
  • Conduct a monthly inventory and maintain stock of items, moving from storage to retail floors as needed.
  • Provide sales reports to Retail Manager upon request.
  • Follow standards for merchandising, stocking, rotation and storing of inventory.
  • Work with all monies in a professional and accurate manner, follow cash handling and register policies. 
  • Provide excellent customer service to all guests, members, and fellow employees. 
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned. 


Requirements

 WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL: 

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated experience in a supervisory capacity in a retail store or similar environment. 
  • Strong proven customer service skills. 
  • Previous cash  handling experience.
  • Prior POS experience as well as Microsoft applications.
