Position Summary:
The Inventory Control Coordinator will be responsible for monitoring and analyzing inventory locations, identifying trends, and making recommendations to improve inventory accuracy. This role will work closely with all functional areas to ensure inventory accuracy and availability to meet production schedules. The Inventory Control Coordinator will maintain inventory accuracy through proper counting, processing of material reports, and inventory transfers. An Inventory Control Coordinator is responsible for counting and monitoring the inventory at multiple Warehouse and Production areas to ensure materials align with Oracle and other documents. In addition to all cycle counting responsibilities, they are also in charge of conducting reviews and assessments, utilizing software to evaluate product inventories, measuring, maintaining records, organizing products according to work instructions, locating lost goods, and reporting inconsistent or damaged goods. An Inventory Control Coordinator may also develop and recommend strategies to improve inventory procedures and participate in maintaining clean work areas.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Research and conduct root-cause analysis of inventory discrepancies across all inventory locations.
- Perform daily cycle counts.
- Monitor and control inventory integrity.
- Develop and maintain inventory reports.
- Analyze inventory data to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional areas to ensure inventory accuracy and availability.
- Provide recommendations to improve inventory processes and procedures.
- Prepare and present monthly inventory summary of reconciliations.
- Validate inventory accuracy between Oracle and other 3PL service providers.
- Develop and improve inventory control systems.
- Coordinate with Logistics and Planning teams to ensure inventory accuracy and availability to support production schedules.
- Develop collaborative relationships with the Finance department to ensure accurate monthly/annual inventory reports of variances.
- Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with Warehouse and Production areas to optimize inventory control procedures.
- Maintain product identification, location, and lot number accuracy.
- Open cartons, bundles, and other containers to count items and/or weigh count to determine actual quantity.
- Report discrepancies of over/under amounts and any damaged product.
- Accurately inspect and compare items against packing lists and Purchase Orders to ensure correct items and quantities were received properly.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
- Other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
Education/Experience & Skills:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Previous experience with Oracle EBS a plus.
- Excellent organization and planning skills.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
- Knowledge of Powered Industrial Vehicles (PIV) such as pallet jacks, forklifts, and reach trucks is required.
- 5+ years of experience in inventory management or related field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently without Supervision and prioritize tasks.
- Knowledge of data analysis methods.
- Clear and concise communication – both written and verbal.
- Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities.
- Must have good written and verbal communication skills. Must be able to write legibly.
- Must be able to use Oracle to research and determine root causes of inventory errors.
- Must be able to work individually and as a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be able to follow established procedures, and work under the direction of the lead or supervisor.
- Willing to work overtime, holidays, and weekends as needed.
- Candidate must be willing to be trained and certified in the use of forklifts and reach trucks.
- Must have ability to maintain accurate records.
- Must be good at basic math and able to accurately count items.
- Must have strong attention to detail.
- Must have strong computer skills and knowledge of various data entry and inventory software programs.
- Must have good attendance and punctuality.
- Proven experience in a warehousing or operations environment.
- Highly organized, detail oriented, and able to prioritize tasks.
- Proven experience in investigating and analyzing inventory data.
Working Conditions:
- Regularly perform repetitive tasks.
- Work is primarily standing (90 + % of the shift) except for lunch and break periods.
- Shifts are 8 hours, 10 hours, and 12 hours.
- The duties of this job normally require exposure to a typical manufacturing environment. Frequent standing, sitting, stooping/squatting, walking, and stair climbing can be expected along with frequent lifting and/or moving of tooling, parts containers, and materials up to 40 pounds.
- Must be able to reach with hands and arms, bend and kneel frequently at a minimum of 50% of the shift, as well as undergo repetitive wrist, hand, elbow, shoulder, and ankle motions.
- Must demonstrate proficient fine motor skills, ability to grip, reach, pull, turn, and use tools to torque fixtures in various machinery or in the assembly, machining, or testing of parts.
- Specific vision abilities required may include close vision, distance vision, peripheral and depth perception, and the ability to focus on fine print.
- Must wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) where required.
- Must comply with all work exposure EH&S training requirements and adhere to SIG SAUER Inc. security mandates.
