The Press Set-Up Technician will work with the Pit Crew and Press Team to help bring our customers' labels and packaging to life, enabling them to stand out over the competition, and create a customer experience that is second to none. Imagine walking through stores and seeing our labels on your favorite products and brands! 

Shift Available: 5:00pm – 5:15am, Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday (36.75 hours)

 

Overtime is paid after 40 hours; typical OT available is at least one shift per month

Key Responsibilities for Press Set-Up Technician include:

  • Following all established standard work to ensure accurate delivery of products to the pressroom
  • Performing all duties required to stage jobs for production, including:
    • Preparing job paperwork, plates, screens, ink, dies, cores, anilox, etc.
    • Mounting plates and ring screens based on expeditor schedule
    • Cleaning, returning, and filing of all components from the pressroom
  • Maintaining appropriate documentation following standard work
  • Performing daily maintenance tasks to ensure the reliability of tooling and equipment

 

The ideal candidate must demonstrate:

  • Effective time management, attention to detail, and multi-tasking skills to meet deadlines on multiple long and short-term projects simultaneously
  • Ability to think through the mechanical aspects of equipment operations and decision-making
  • Solid computer skills, including the ability to learn new computer systems
  • Good math, reading, and writing skills, ability to tactfully communicate with customers and employees of all levels of the company
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and collaboration skills to effectively work with a diverse group of people and personalities
  • Ability to provide a high level of customer service, responding promptly and thoroughly to the inquiries and needs of individuals both internal and external to the organization

 

Education, Skills, and Experience:

  • Required: High school diploma or equivalent
  • Required: Can perform heavy work, lifting up to 50 pounds, with frequent lifting/carrying of objects weighing up to 25 pounds
  • Required: Ability to read, write, and follow verbal and written instructions in the English language
  • Preferred: Related flexographic printing experience 
  • A Plus: Experience working lean manufacturing and ISO quality systems
