The Joint, Office of the Secretary of Defense, Interagency Division provides expert support services to a range of customers spanning across the Department of Defense, Federal Civilian, and international markets. JOID provides a diverse portfolio of analytical and programmatic capabilities to help our customers make informed decisions on their most challenging issues.

 

The Industry and Security Analysis Group (ISAG) within JOID provides analytical, technical, and program support to promote, grow, and protect the U.S. industrial base. ISAG's support spans the Department of Defense (DOD), Department of Commerce, and other agencies to deliver critical decision support to national security leaders. Our team informs policy decisions, enables execution of comprehensive strategies and monitors and reports on the effectiveness of implementation. This enables senior leaders to execute strategies for developing and sustaining a robust industrial base that meets our nation's strategic resource objectives. We have an immediate need for a Business Operations Coordinator to provide onsite support at the Pentagon.


Responsibilities

The Business Operations Coordinator will directly support the Director for Operations in the Office of the Deputy Assistant Secretary of War (DASW) for Industrial and Investment Security (I2S). The candidate will assist the Director of Operations with comprehensive support across finance, logistics, human resources, and business processes to facilitate daily mission readiness. Operate with minimal supervision and apply established policies to complete business processes and when necessary, resolve administrative challenges. Assist the Financial Manager with tracking departmental budgets, processing routine invoices and expense reports, and assisting with financial data reconciliation using organizational accounting systems. Monitor mission-critical and routine supply levels, execute procurement requests, manage vendor communications, and maintain accurate inventory logs. Evaluate existing administrative workflows, refine and draft standard operating procedures (SOP), and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and resource utilization. Facilitate personnel onboarding and offboarding, maintain unit rosters and mandatory training records, and serve as the initial point-of-contact for routine HR administrative coordination. Support management of subscriptions, license assignments, and monthly user tracking.  


Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree with a desired focus in business or operations
  • 3+ years of relevant work experience; 5+ years overall work experience
  • Familiarity with DoW processes, human resources, or business administration
  • Demonstrated ability to proactively identify and solve problems
  • Ability to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing
  • Active TS/SCI clearance

Desired:

  • Experience in the Department of War processes
  • Business process improvement background

Pay Range Information

Salaries are commensurate with experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. Virginia, Pay Transparency Salary range: USD $100,000.00/Yr. - USD $120,000.00/Yr.
