We ensure the Army FM systems and processes are modernized and integrated to provide a complete range of financial and cost information needed for the Army to conduct business transactions, provide accountability to the public, and to support performance reporting and decision making. We provide effective functional systems support, user technical support, training support, and governance support of the Army's modernized and deployed FM domain ERP systems (GFEBS / GFEBS-SA / GCSS-A (Finance)), ensuring technological capabilities maturation and evolution aligns with Army and FM domain goals and objectives. The GFEBS SA Functional Subject Matter Expert is responsible for overseeing, optimizing, and sustaining the reimbursable and spending chain processes within the U.S. Army's General Fund Enterprise Business System – Sensitive Activities (GFEBS-SA). Acting as the primary business process owner, this role drives continuous improvement, ensures system integrity, supports audit readiness, and enables effective cross-functional collaboration. The position reuires to work 5 days a week in customer's SIPR location. #KS Responsibilities Process Design & Optimization Lead end-to-end process ownership for reimbursable (SD) and spending chain (MM) functions within GFEBS-SA Provide advisory assistance services to support the GFEBS/GFEBS-SA's functional requirements activities (i.e., requirements analysis, design assessments, change management, testing, training, and deployment) and provide sound recommendations pertaining to the development, deployment, and maintenance of GFEBS/GFEBS-SA Review and approve all Functional, Technical, and Business Process Designs Identify improvement opportunities through process analysis and user feedback Design and implement system changes that align with Army regulations and operational needs System Configuration & Enhancement Configure and tailor GFEBS-SA to support Army-specific needs, including interfacing with new and legacy systems Collaborate across modules (e.g., FI/FM) to integrate and enhance process flow Implement and validate system customizations and enhancements Support & Monitoring Provide Tier 2 support and resolve complex cross-functional incidents via ServiceNow Monitor system performance, Intermediate Document (IDOC) errors, and data integrity to ensure smooth operation Conduct User Acceptance Testing (UAT), audits, and regular system checks to ensure compliance and functionality Sustainment & Reporting Lead ongoing sustainment efforts including issue resolution, patch management, and performance optimization Prioritize enhancement requests and bug fixes in coordination with supporting stakeholders Design and develop training materials, user aids, and hands-on exercises to meet training requirements for system patches and enhancements Deliver regular updates, activity reports, and track process trends and customer interactions Audit Readiness & Year-End Close Oversee year-end close processes to ensure accurate, timely financial transitions Support internal and external audits with documentation and issue resolution Implement corrective actions and maintain compliance with audit standards Qualifications Must be a US citizen and have a TOP SECRET / T5 Clearance. Must be a US citizen and have a TOP SECRET / T5 Clearance. Interim TS / T5 or Secret / T3 will be considered for candidates with extensive GFEBS experience. Master's degree and 10+ years of experience, Bachelor's degree and 20 years of experience, or experience can be accepted in lieu of degree Expertise in SAP/GFEBS (especially MM, FI, FM modules) Experience with process design, system configuration, and federal financial operations Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills Knowledge of Army-specific financial processes and audit requirements preferred SME experience in DoD/Army FM policies, processes and systems
