SPA has an immediate need for a Program Security Representative.


Responsibilities

Seeking a Program Security Representative (PSR) to support a DoW R&D Rapid Prototyping Office by providing security support to Program Managers and Portfolio Leads in a Systems Engineering Technical Assistance (SETA) Security capacity for protection of prototype acquisition projects. The PSR will provide security support by implementing sound Operations Security (OPSEC) practices, developing Concepts of Operations (CONOPs) for project protection, and performing project risk analysis for end-to-end closure of the protection baseline for assigned prototype capability development projects.

  • Oversee the full security lifecycle for projects ensuring the protection of all classification levels and CUI, provide day-to-day support relating to protection of project sensitive information, and provide timely and accurate security related information to personnel in accordance with security classification guides and national policies.
  • Plan, coordinate, provide, and manage security support for meetings. Attend project reviews, i.e., technical exchange meetings (TEM), periodic project reviews (PPR), and provide oversight and PSO coordination to industry partners. Concise and effective communication with, and timely notifications to, relevant Oversight Authority and Cognizant Authority SAPCOs.
  • Apply a subject matter expert working knowledge of Executive Order 13526, DoD Information Security Manuals, and DoD Special Access Program (SAP) Security Manuals.
  • Create and manage key security documents, including DD 254s, Security Classification Guides (SCGs), and Project Protection Plans (PPPs).

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Active TS/SCI security clearance at time of application and willing to take a polygraph
  • Bachelor's degree (may be waived for significant [and relevant] experience)
  • 8 years of experience (minimum) supporting classified operating environments embedded with Department of War or the Intelligence Community. Contractor Program Security Officer (CPSO) experience may be considered in lieu of on-site experience
  • Expert working knowledge of Executive Order 13526, DoD Information Security Manuals, and DoD SAP Security Manuals
  • Knowledge and proficiency of Defense Information System for Security (DISS) and Joint Access Database Environment (JADE)
  • Must be comfortable traveling locally and attending meetings that may occur outside normal business hours; occasional CONUS travel is expected
  • Able to work full-time in a Chantilly VA office within SCIF/SAPF spaces
