The Joint, Office of the Secretary of Defense, Interagency Division (JOID) provides expert support services to a range of customers spanning across the Department of Defense, Federal Civilian, and international markets. JOID provides a diverse portfolio of analytical and programmatic capabilities to help our customers make informed decisions on their most challenging issues. The Critical Infrastructure Group (CIG) within JOID provides technical, programmatic and analytical support to customers with missions in national security to include the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Health and Human Services (HHS), and the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). The Group brings technical and operational expertise in fields of countering weapons of mass destruction, critical infrastructure protection, emergency response, nuclear non-proliferation, weapons deployment programs, and transportation safety. In addition to management and advisory services, CIG staff collaborate closely with our clients to provide high-quality modeling, simulation, software, and analytical products to meet the most demanding government standards and timelines. We have a near-term need for a Project Scheduler to support FAA customers located in the Washington, DC. Responsibilities The Scheduler will be responsible for helping to support the development, analysis and reporting of cost, schedule and performance progress. Identifying dependencies and relationships as well as collaborate with FAA senior management. To be successful, the right candidate will have strong verbal and written skills, necessary to communicate and manage client expectations, understand schedule interdependencies and Work Breakdown Structure relationship to program management. Qualifications Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Business, Economics, Accounting, Marketing, Finance, or some quantitative discipline. 7-15 years of meaningful experience within the field. High proficiency with Microsoft Project. Experience in leading project planning efforts & Experience in project schedule analysis software, such as Primavera P6 Applicants selected will be subject to a Government Public Trust Investigation and meet eligibility requirements to obtain and retain the designated Government clearance. Preferred Qualifications: Hands on experience working with Federal program management and scheduling support processes. Preferred knowledge of FAA but not necessary. Experience providing Critical Path analysis and implementing scheduling standards and standard methodologies Ability to build quality program schedules, including implementation and investment analysis schedules, whether the schedule is built from the ground up, or is “inherited”, following GAO's Best Practices in schedule development. Master's Degree or higher may act as substitute for years of experience desired.
