Qualifications

Required:

  • Active TS/SCI clearance
  • Master's or post-graduate level degree in business, administration, management, or communications, with the following equivalencies:
    • Bachelor's degree in a related discipline and at least 6 years of relevant experience 
  • Overall, at least 15 years of related experience in U.S. Department of Defense system acquisition, design, development, and/or operation, of which at least 4 years directly related to space-based system support
  • Domain knowledge of USSF/SSC and HHQ staffing process
  • Advanced proficiency in Defense Travel Service (DTS), Task Management Tool (TMT), MS Office Suite applications
  • Domain knowledge in office management tools and techniques, e.g., Jira, Confluence, Remedy
  • Highly advanced knowledge in U.S. Department of Defense policies and practices in system acquisition program budgeting, project scheduling, reliability maintainability and availability, test and evaluation, and configuration control and change management
  • Highly advanced knowledge in developing and preparing program acquisition artifacts, e.g., Program Objective Memoranda (POMs), POM Preparation Instructions (PPIs), Plan of Actions and Milestones (POA&Ms), and Work Breakdown Structures (WBSs)
  • Reports to designated work location in Huntsville, AL, up to full time, based on the needs of the customer

Desired:

  • Active or prior SAP access
  • Active USSF/SSC/SZ or BC SAP access
  • Current Counterintelligence (CI) polygraph or willingness to sit for one 
  • Certifications and/or training in related administration skill areas 
  • Advanced experience with U.S. Air Force and USSF acquisition policies, protocols, practices, procedures, and processes 
  • Advanced experience with DoD Planning, Programming, Budgeting and Execution System (PPBES) processes and procedures 
  • Advanced experience with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and the Defense FAR Supplement (DFARSUP) policies, practices, and procedures


Responsibilities

SME-Level Administration Specialists assist Program Office leadership performing requirements engineering, solutions engineering, scheduling, reliability, resiliency, services development, integration, test and evaluation, maintainability, and analysis. Will work with program and project managers to support the design, development, and instantiation of space systems and advanced system capabilities. Successful candidates we seek for this important opportunity will help enable advanced capabilities and proactive protective understanding of how space-based assets and programs operate, interact, and serve our highest priority national defense.

 

Key duties associated with this position include but are not limited to the following:

 

  • Perform executive-level support services with an emphasis on ability to effectively communicate with Senior Government, Military, and industry leaders and their supporting staffs.
  • Process, receive, track, coordinate, and store large volumes of program critical information.
  • Coordinate and organize multiple geographically-dispersed team members.
  • Develop, coordinate, and manage taskers.
  • Help improve efficiency, effectiveness, and productivity of Government Program Office processes.
  • Coordinate with Government Program Office subordinate organizations, e.g., human resources, security, program control (budget), Program Support (Logistics), Intelligence, Public Relations, Information Assurance (IA) and Information  Technology (IT), and Contracts.
  • Analyze and evaluate current events and provide recommendations to executive leadership.
  • Perform military and/or civilian executive-level support services, protocol, information management, and administrative support activities.
  • Coordinate Military Protocol Information Management/Operations Support functions, including, but not limited to, managing promotions, awards, training goals and objectives, changes of station (in-processing and out-processing, military orders, and temporary duty (TDY) assignments, etc.).
  • Coordinate Program Office affairs with respect to USSF/SSC partners, stakeholders, contractors and Federally-Funded Research and Development Centers (FFRDCs).
  • Manage and handle sensitive and/or classified information and data, and complying with established policies, protocols, and practices, systems and mechanisms associated with national security-related management. and support.
  • Perform acquisition management activities related to facility operation and accreditation of SCIF/SAPF facilities.
  • Plan, develop, implement, and manage comprehensive, affordable, and effective system facilities and layouts.
