The Joint, Office of the Secretary of Defense, Interagency Division provides expert support services to a range of customers spanning across the Department of Defense, Federal Civilian, and international markets. JOID provides a diverse portfolio of analytical and programmatic capabilities to help our customers make informed decisions on their most challenging issues.
SPA provides critical decision support to enabling and executing a strategy of technological superiority and enabling the delivery and sustainment of secure, resilient, and preeminent capabilities to the warfighter quickly and cost effectively. Our team of experienced military, technical, and operations research analysts is skilled in evaluating military problems, identifying the driving factors, devising innovative approaches, collecting applicable data, developing necessary software tools, and performing thorough and timely assessments to inform technology and acquisition governance decisions to ensure U.S. military forces retain military superiority in the future.
We have an immediate need for a Travel Coordinator to provide onsite support out of Arlington, VA.
Responsibilities
The candidate will work as part of a dynamic and energetic team, directly supporting the DARPA Director's Office. Responsibilities include managing travel for Agency Leadership, Office Directors, Military Liaison Officers, and Fellows from all military branches. Additional responsibilities include managing timecards for all government officials that report under the Director's Office and providing supplemental support to the Correspondence Control Analyst. The ability to take on other duties as assigned, and cross-train with your teammates, is essential.
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor's degree
- Active DoD Secret clearance
- 4 years of experience that includes assisting with meeting planning, scheduling, and travel coordination
- Experience providing support to senior-level government officials, including SES
- Knowledge of the Defense Travel System (DTS) and the information required for processing automated DD forms
- Demonstrated proficiency using modern PC computer techniques, systems, and tools such as Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Project, and Excel, and SharePoint/Teams
- Able to work fully onsite based on client needs
Desired:
- DoD experience with at least 2 years working within a R&D organization such as DARPA
- Experience with CATMS or ETMS2 and monitoring internal and external tasks for completion and accuracy
- Experience with document or copy editing for adherence to document template requirements
