Full Time
Monday - Friday, 6:30am - 3:00pm
POSITION SUMMARY:
Reporting to the Production Supervisor, the Assembler is responsible for assembly tasks and plays a key role in ensuring the products are assembled according to specifications. Assemblers perform routine and non-routine production duties to assemble engines, air compressors, IPUs, and diesel generators. In this role, you will work more independently and may take on additional responsibilities, such as training less experienced assemblers.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Adhere to all safety guidelines, Job Safety Analysis (JSA), and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) preventing incidents or injury to self or others.
- Create usable finished product which meets specification within the standard time allowed following all prescribed work instructions.
- Assemble intermediate and complex components using various tools and machinery.
- Conduct quality control checks to ensure that products meet required specifications.
- Troubleshoot assembly issues and provide solutions.
- Drive a Forklift if needed.
- Work with minimal supervision and take initiative to meet production targets.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area while adhering to safety standards.
- Meet attendance and punctuality expectations consistently.
- Participate and support the principles of Open Book Management and recognize the responsibilities of being a part owner of the company
- Others duties assigned.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Work is performed mostly in an uncontrolled atmosphere; i.e. exposure to harsh conditions—such as: dust, fumes, noise, and varying temperatures—for moderate to extended periods of time is possible. This employee will be required to demonstrate continued knowledge of Haz/Com regulations and requirements. All employees are required to follow safety standards and wear all personal protective equipment in designated areas.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Sitting 10%, standing/walking/squatting/climbing 90%. Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds is required. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential function of this job. While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to walk, stand, climb, use hands and fingers to handle or feel; talk and hear. Successfully passing a physical, audiogram, and pulmonary function test is a condition of employment of working in the maintenance department.
MINIMIMUM SKILL/ KNOWLEDGE/ ABILITY/ EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE:
- Basic knowledge of assembly tools and equipment.
- Willingness to learn and take direction from senior team members.

- Good attendance and punctuality habits.
PREFERRED SKILL/ KNOWLEDGE/ ABILITY/ EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE:
- High School Diploma/GEDand/orequivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to read and understand work instructions, control plans, and build of materials
