This role requires deep expertise in LTL pricing, contract negotiation, and data analytics. The ideal candidate will have 5–10 years of industry experience and a proven track record of optimizing pricing models and securing competitive carrier agreements.
POSITION SUMMARY:
The LTL Freight Pricing Manager will be responsible for developing and managing pricing strategies for Less-Than-Truckload (LTL) freight.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop and maintain LTL pricing models using historical data, market trends, and carrier performance.
- Lead contract negotiations with LTL carriers to secure competitive rates and service terms.
- Analyze pricing data to identify cost-saving opportunities and margin improvement strategies.
- Collaborate with sales, operations, and carrier relations teams to support customer pricing requests and RFPs.
- Monitor carrier compliance and performance to ensure alignment with contractual obligations.
- Stay current on industry trends, regulatory changes, and competitive landscape.
- Provide training and guidance to internal teams on LTL pricing strategies and tools.
- Manage carrier and client contracts in the Transportation Management System
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
5–10 years of experience in LTL freight pricing, contract negotiation, and data analytics.
Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Deep understanding of LTL carrier networks, pricing structures, and accessorial charges.
Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Economics, or related field.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience with TMS and pricing software platforms.
Familiarity with EDI and API integrations for carrier data.
Strategic mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
