About the Role

SFSIL's Compliance team are looking to recruit an experienced professional to work as part of its team, based in Dublin. The successful applicant will be part of a growing and dynamic International Compliance team supporting SS&C as a Fund Administrator for Ireland-based clients. This role is a Controlled Function (CF 2) under the CBI's Fitness and Probity (F&P) Regime, the individual will actively take responsibility for appropriate oversight and ensuring, controlling and monitoring compliance for SFSIL with its relevant obligations. 

The key role of SS&C's Compliance function is to provide assurance to SFSIL's Board and Senior Management, and ultimately to the CBI, that SFSIL (the Business) is operating within the legal and regulatory framework as applicable.  SFSIL's Compliance team partner with the Business to ensure compliance with applicable regulatory requirements by designing, implementing and assessing the effectiveness of the regulatory control framework. Compliance is a control and advisory function that is an integral part of the three lines of defence model of the risk management system of the Business. 

Your Responsibilities

  • Ensuring SFSIL's compliance with regard to required regulation and legislation. Actively monitoring changes and updates, conducting assessments, understanding and communicating the impact to the business. 
  • Executing the Compliance Monitoring Programme, analysing and liaising with the business to review and report recommendations, managing remedial actions, highlighting any key themes/areas for improvement.  
  • Review and refresh of SFSIL policies and procedures, ensuring these are in accordance with regulatory obligations/requirements, and advising and training staff in relation to their compliance obligations.
  • Overseeing SFSIL's Controlled Functions with Fitness & Probity and Individual Accountability compliance.  
  • Oversight of activities which are outsourced/offshored to SS&C affiliates, working closely with the team's onsite Compliance representatives to ensure effective oversight and compliance with Irish regulatory standards. 
  • Work closely with the Money Laundering Reporting Officer to ensure appropriate and effective 2nd line oversight of AML Compliance. 
  • Attendance at management and business/governance committees where required, providing appropriate second line oversight, review and challenge. 
  • Assist in regulatory interactions in relation to regulatory reporting and/or matters of correspondence to the Central Bank of Ireland, liaising with the Business as appropriate.
  • Providing Compliance input on due diligence reviews, performing onsite inspection/visits where required, trustee/depositary and audit demands. 
  • Promoting a Compliance culture and working with the wider Risk and Compliance/second line functions.
