Job Summary**

The Senior Associate Valuations Control will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial instrument valuations. This position involves overseeing daily valuation processes, collaborating with various teams, and contributing to the development and implementation of robust control frameworks within a fast-paced financial services environment.

Job Responsibilities**

* Perform independent price verification and valuation checks across a diverse range of financial instruments (e.g., OTC derivatives, fixed income, equities, private equity, illiquid assets).
* Investigate and resolve valuation discrepancies, working closely with front office, risk management, operations, and external vendors.
* Develop and maintain robust valuation control procedures, ensuring compliance with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
* Review and challenge valuation models, methodologies, and assumptions, identifying potential risks and areas for improvement.
* Prepare detailed valuation reports and present findings to senior management and key stakeholders.
* Participate in the onboarding of new products and asset classes, ensuring appropriate valuation control frameworks are established.
* Mentor and provide guidance to junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.
* Contribute to automation initiatives and process enhancements to improve efficiency and accuracy of valuation control activities.
* Act as a subject matter expert for valuation-related inquiries and projects.

Job Qualifications**

* Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related quantitative field. Master's degree or professional certifications (e.g., CFA, FRM) are a significant plus.
* 4-7 years of experience in valuation control, product control, market risk, or a similar analytical role within the financial services industry.
* Strong understanding of financial instruments, valuation techniques, and market data sources.
* Proficiency in Excel is essential; experience with VBA, SQL, Python, or other programming languages for data analysis and automation is highly desirable.
* Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills with meticulous attention to detail.
* Strong communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts clearly and concisely to diverse audiences.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic, deadline-driven environment.
