What You Will Get To Do:

The Clinical Programs Manager/Pharmacist, will help lead pharmacy clinical program expertise internally and externally to SS&C Health clients.  Expertise in formulary management, drug pipeline presentation, clinical client advising, and product development engagement are key. This role is pivotal in enabling accurate formulary build and management and clinical consultation. Additional focus on ensuring clinical appropriateness, accuracy, and consistency in formulary management, particularly in relation to Medicare Part D is key. This high-impact position requires pharmacy benefits management (PBM) experience, as well as managed care clinical expertise and people management.

  • Evaluate and improve formulary process excellence to ensure 100% accuracy in formulary file creation and maintenance.
  • Ability and confidence to engage in clinical decision-making dialogue with clients in a professional manner.
  • Provide clinical expertise to clients related to Drug Utilization, Drug Information pipeline, formulary management and other clinical programs.
  • Support enterprise formulary initiatives aligning with organizational goals and compliance standards across all lines of business.
  • Build cross-functional alignment with leadership and peers to create product roadmaps and execution plans that maximize organizational resources and market opportunities.
  • Provide leadership, direction and mentorship for direct and indirect reports, including pharmacists & CPht's. Inspirational leadership to drive innovation and execution in a fast-paced environment.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration and professional growth within the product management team. Encourage creativity to continue SS&C Health Promote a high-performance environment where excellence is the norm.
  • Understanding the Voice of the Client (VOC), their environment and challenges, then translating this knowledge into actionable client engagement and clinical program development.
  • Create and distribute product metrics and ensure metrics are communicated and understood by all internally.

What You Will Bring:

  • Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) from an accredited pharmacy school.
  • Licensed and registered Pharmacist (RPh) in good standing in the state of residence.
  • Minimum of 3 years of Pharmacist experience in a managed care setting, including knowledge of drug information. Managed care settings may include Pharmacy Benefit Managers (PBM), national or regional health plans, and large self-insured employer groups.
  • General understanding of database and data management as this person will be managing drug files.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite specifically strong Excel skills as well as Word, Access, PowerPoint, and Visio.
  • Experience with formulary management in commercial Medicare and/or Medicaid environments.
  • Familiarity with the Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee decision-making process.
  • Deep understanding of Medicare Part D regulations and practices.
  • Must have client interaction and be comfortable presenting on a regular basis.
  • Strong attention to detail and strict adherence to timelines.
  • A collaborative self-starter, able to navigate complex corporate and cross-functional team environments and dynamics.

Salary is determined by various factors including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, job related knowledge, skills, abilities, business needs, and geographic regions. Jersey City, NJ: Salary range for the position: 140000 USD to 145000 USD. Maryland: Salary range for the position: 140000 USD to 145000 USD.
