What You Will Get To Do:

The Head of Governance, Oversight, and Offshore Relations will be pivotal in ensuring the smooth operation, compliance, and governance of offshore activities within the Transfer Agency (TA) business. This role involves establishing and maintaining robust oversight frameworks, cultivating strong partnerships with offshore partners, and driving operational excellence, all while ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and organisational standards.

This position presents an exciting opportunity to influence the operational and strategic success of TA's offshore activities, ensuring effective governance and the delivery of outstanding service.

  • Develop, implement, and maintain governance frameworks for offshore operations, ensuring alignment with internal policies, client requirements, and regulatory standards.

  • Continuously evaluate and refine offshoring strategies to ensure they meet the organisation's strategic goals and operational objectives.

  • Monitor and assess the performance of offshore partners, establishing key performance indicators (KPIs), service-level agreements (SLAs), and other relevant performance metrics, ensuring timely and quality service delivery.

  • Conduct regular risk assessments and audits of offshore activities to identify and mitigate potential risks, ensuring corrective actions are implemented promptly.

  • Act as the primary point of contact between local and offshore Transfer Agency teams, fostering effective communication and collaboration across all stakeholders.

  • Collaborate with internal teams such as Operations, Risk, Compliance, and Technology to ensure offshore activities align with the organisation's objectives and client needs.

  • Engage with clients to address concerns related to offshore services, providing assurance on governance, risk management, and control measures.

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives within offshore processes to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance service quality.

  • Evaluate technological and process innovations to optimise offshore operations and drive best practices in governance.

  • Identify and assess risks related to offshore operations, including operational, legal, and financial risks, and ensure compliance with local and international regulations such as data protection and anti-money laundering (AML) requirements.

  • Stay updated on regulatory changes impacting offshore operations, ensuring strategies are adapted to meet new requirements.

  • Prepare and present regular reports to senior management and governance committees, analysing trends in offshore operations to proactively address potential risks and identify areas for improvement.

What You Will Bring:

  • In-depth knowledge of transfer agency operations, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.

  • Strong understanding of multiple operational functions, including client services, delivery, and employee management.

  • Proven experience in leading, motivating, and managing both onshore and offshore teams to achieve high-performance outcomes.

  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.

  • Expertise in working with diverse teams across different geographies, ensuring effective collaboration and mutual understanding.

  • Proficiency in governance frameworks, performance monitoring, and risk mitigation strategies.

  • Over 10 years of experience in operations, governance, or risk management within the financial services or transfer agency industry.

  • Proven experience in managing offshore or outsourced service providers.

  • Demonstrated track record in driving operational transformation and implementing robust risk management strategies.
