What You Will Get To Do:
The Application and Transition Specialist (Hiportfolio) sits within the Managed Fund Accounting team. Their primary responsibilities will be providing Hiportfolio application support and executing and coordinating the execution of transition projects as required. You will be working very closely with both internal and external stakeholders.
You will be responsible for:
- Act as an entry point for all functional queries relating to Hiportfolio, including queries from clients, troubleshooting and root cause analysis
- Providing application support to the managed fund accounting team in relation to abnormal application behaviour, incidents, user requests for static data setup and report creation.
- Contribute to the promotion of best practices in terms of HiPortfolio.
- Responsible for static data maintenance requests and controlling procedures to ensure static data requests are unambiguous and accurate.
- Respond to support requests with information, updates and advice on the functional aspects of Hiportfolio.
- Provide support for problem management and release management
- Provide support for overall management of Hiportfolio application
- Responsible for the creation and maintenance of standard operating procedures and training materials
- Actively contribute to product development and improvement
- Oversee and participate in the change management process such as change request analysis, testing and implementation
- Advise on best practice for operating the applications within the organization
- Provide oversight and project management of all transition projects as required, to ensure timely and accurate execution of all elements of the transition plan
- Act as a subject matter expert for the Hiportfolio data take-ons, extracts, transformation and load
- Responsible for data reconciliation process
- Define and document transition requirements including goals objectives, and internal resources needs to complete the project such as developers, subject matter experts, operations teams and technology teams.
- Liaise with custodians and investment managers to ensure accurate data for clients' portfolios to enable a smooth transition
- Ability to identify and solve any potential problems that arise during initial transition discovery phase and throughout the transition
What You Will Bring:
- Approximately 5+ years in Financial Services, with specific technical knowledge of Fund Accounting & Unit Pricing, Investment Administration & Custody Operations.
- Solid working knowledge of Hiportfolio and experience in the modules that support the areas noted above
- In-depth knowledge of a range of securities and their treatment
- Demonstrated ability in project management and planning
- Excellent numeracy and analytical skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft suite (Excel, Word, Powerpoint)
- Exceptional ability to collaborate and operate seamlessly within a team environment to achieve tight deadlines and quality outcomes.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Solid knowledge of investment concepts and unit pricing practices, including familiarity with ASIC/APRA guidelines.
- A degree in an accounting or finance-related discipline is desirable.
- Additional relevant post-graduate qualifications (e.g., CPA, CA, FINSIA) would be advantageous.
- Knowledge of accounting principles is advantageous.
- Familiarity with investment securities taxation concepts and Australian taxation legislation would be advantageous.
