Senior Program Manager Job Description

Senior Program Manager role is responsible for overseeing and driving complex programs and initiatives across multiple business functions. This role requires hand-on strategic planning, cross-functional coordination, and execution to ensure the successful delivery of key business objectives. The Senior Program Manager will collaborate with stakeholders across technology and operations leadership to align program goals with SS&C's strategic vision and direction. Minimally requires a Bachelor's degree and 15-20 years of related experience.

• Lead and manage large-scale, cross-functional programs from initiation to completion, ensuring alignment with business goals and strategic priorities.

• Drive governance, program execution, and risk management while ensuring adherence to scope and timelines.

• Collaborate with stakeholders across multiple teams, including technology and operations leadership, to define objectives and deliverables.

• Develop and implement standardized frameworks, methodologies, and best practices for program management.

• Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and reporting structures to track progress and measure success.

• Manage change initiatives, ensuring smooth transitions and minimal disruption to business operations.

• Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, providing insights and recommendations for process improvement and operational efficiencies.

• Identify and mitigate risks proactively, addressing challenges to maintain program momentum.

• Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement across all program initiatives.

• Proven track record in leading complex, high-impact programs within a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

• Strong experience in governance, execution frameworks, and program delivery models.

• Exceptional influence management, stakeholder engagement, and leadership skills.

• Experience in financial services, technology, or operations-driven environments is highly desirable.

• Hands-on experience with program management tools, methodologies, and reporting frameworks.

• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to navigate organizational complexities effectively.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present to senior executives.

• Minimum of 15-20 years of experience in program management, strategic initiatives, or business transformation.
