Job Description
Evaluates risks and processes in the most complex information systems applications to ensure appropriate controls, efficient and accurate processing, and information systems compliance with corporate standards. Audits department activities across the organization to ensure adherence with accepted methodologies, policies, and procedures prescribed by management. Focuses on information systems, network, security, and technical aspects of operational audits. Works on all phases of information systems auditing and exhibits an understanding of platforms used by key business units of the organization. Compiles and communicates audit issues to process owners of all levels via the audit report. Develops the scope of audit work and leads audits. May represent the department on diverse business projects. Evaluates the audit function by researching, evaluating, and recommending procedures to improve the effectiveness of the team.
