Overview
CDD is now hiring an Administrative Services Coordinator I to support our Children's Integrated Services (CIS) team. The person in this position will provide administrative support for CIS's Special Accommodations Grant (SAG) program: a grant program that funds specialized care and services for children in Vermont child care programs.
The primary responsibilities associated with this position include:
• Review SAG-related reports for quality and completion
• Communicate with key program partners to ensure that SAG agreements are accurate, up-to-date, and complete
• Prepare SAG applications for review and processing
• Track SAG agreements' progress towards completion
• Review, process, and track SAG invoices
• Provide logistical support to SAG applicants
• Communicate critical information to program partners as needed
• Communicate effectively about the SAG program within CIS and across CDD
• Perform data entry related to the SAG program
• Help to monitor specialized service providers' professional development efforts
The successful candidate will:
• Be an effective communicator and collaborator
• Be proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite, including Microsoft Excel
• Be able to work at least one day, weekly, at the Waterbury State Office Complex (WSOC)
• Have experience working with grant programs, or programs that are grounded in support and service provision
This position will be funded on a part-time basis (approximately 20 hours/week) through September 30, 2025, and will be housed within the CIS team. Who May ApplyThis position, Administrative Services Coordinator I - Temporary (Job Requisition #51602), is open to all State employees and external applicants. This is a temporary position. Temporary work is typically for variable hours, and is not expected to be full-time. The State does not guarantee 40 hours of work per week.

Minimum QualificationsHigh School diploma or equivalent AND two (2) years or more of experience providing administrative-level support to a business or organization.
OR
One year of full-time college coursework in accounting, business or public administration, office administration or closely related field AND one (1) year or more of experience providing administrative-level support to a business or organization.
OR
Two years of full-time college coursework OR and Associate's degree in accounting, business or public administration, office administration or closely related field.
OR
One (1) year or more of experience as an Administrative Services Technician IV with the State of Vermont.

NOTE: Only administrative work experience is qualifying. Administrative support includes those functions which keep the organization running or provide the resources for others to provide the programmatic work (e.g., accounting, budget management, grant administration, finance, human resources, payroll, purchasing, or space management).
Special RequirementsFor some positions experience working with the VISION system (VISION is the State of Vermont PeopleSoft financial management system) may be required.
