Overview
The Agency of Digital Services (ADS) is seeking a dynamic and forward-thinking Vendor Relationship Specialist to help shape and lead a growing, enterprise-wide approach to vendor engagement across the State of Vermont. This is an exciting opportunity to join a newly established function within ADS-one that is redefining how the State partners with its strategic technology vendors to deliver critical services to over 12,000 users. Working alongside one peer in an equivalent role, this position will play a key part in building and maturing vendor management practices, driving value, accountability, and innovation across a diverse portfolio of IT partners.
The ideal candidate is a strategic relationship builder who thrives in a collaborative, evolving environment and is energized by the opportunity to influence a new and impactful practice from the ground up. This position is based in Montpelier, Vermont, with an expectation of in-office collaboration three days per week.

Work is performed in a standard office setting. The role involves intensive interaction with departmental officials who may advocate strongly for their programs. Implementation of recommendations may be difficult because of competing interests and limited resources. Rapid response in the face of tight deadlines may be necessary. Some travel may be required for which private means of transportation should be available. Work outside of the regular work schedule may be anticipated.
Minimum QualificationsFour (4) years or more experience in business, business science, logistics, contract administration, or contract law, or five (5) years' experience in a related field along with at least one year of managerial experience.
Preferred QualificationsAssociate's degree in business, business science, logistics, or engineering and four (4) years' experience in a related field along with at least one year of managerial experience.
