OverviewThe Intern for Legal Administration will work with the court team to provide specialized customer support, clerical and data entry work involving one or more docket areas within a court's jurisdiction. The work requires administrative and organizational skills and strong attention to detail.
Internships will be in the following court locations: Bennington, Burlington, Chelsea, St. Albans, Rutland, Woodstock.
DescriptionThe internship program provides an opportunity for students to use their skills and knowledge in a practical setting and learn about the career opportunities available in the Judiciary and the criminal justice field. We are focused on college students who have completed 30+ credits toward an associate or bachelor's degree. The Vermont Judiciary internships are great opportunity for students to learn the basics about the state court system
CompensationStarting salary is $19.20 per hour. This position will be eligible for longevity increases in accordance with the State step pay plan and annual cost of living increases as enacted by the Vermont State Legislature.
Minimum RequirementsHigh School Graduation or GED and 2 years in a responsible position
