Description

The Commercial Loan Systems Manager oversees the daily functionality, configuration, and performance of the bank's commercial loan systems, serving as the primary liaison with Finastra and internal operational teams. The role manages system updates, case resolution, testing, and the implementation of new functionality while ensuring accurate reporting, user access maintenance, and effective coordination with IT and Accounting. Additionally, the Manager supports audit readiness, maintains departmental procedures, and leads critical activities such as annual disaster recovery testing to ensure system reliability and compliance.



What We're Looking For

  • Lead weekly calls with Finastra to discuss open case tickets and critical issues.
  • Provide functional support for Loan Operations regarding table configuration, approval matrix, APIs, batch job monitoring and set up.
  • Create and monitor cases within Finastra Community Portal regarding defects.
  • Review and keep current on system release notes published by Finastra.
  • Coordinate annual Disaster Recovery testing.
  • Test and implement new functionality.
  • Develop bank reports within DataNet.
  • Create and update department procedures when applicable.
  • Collaborate with accounting teams with table configurations.
  • Partner with IT teams with Loan IQ batch, APIs, Event Management, Data Warehouse Extract.
  • Maintain users within Loan IQ and Citrix.
  • Respond to internal and external audit requests.


What You'll Bring

  • Analytical thinking skills combined with LoanIQ functional know-how.
  • Able to manage vendor relationships and collaborate with Finastra resources to address platform issues or enhancement requests.
  • Exhibit strong ownership mentality with ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Use sound judgment in making decisions independently while escalating strategically when needed.
  • Strong command of LoanIQ configuration, workflow design, and troubleshooting across complex loan structures.
  • Demonstrate advanced critical‑thinking capacity with ability to anticipate operational impacts of system or process changes.
  • Adept at leading root‑cause analysis (RCA) efforts and implementing sustainable corrective actions.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for conveying complex concepts to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.


Education & Experience

  • Minimum Required: Bachelor's degree in business, Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent professional work experience.
  • Minimum Required: 10+ years of hands-on experience with LoanIQ, including advanced functional expertise and configuration knowledge. 10+ years of related experience in Commercial Loan Operations, with deep understanding of end‑to‑end loan lifecycle processes.


Systems & Technology

  • Proficient in Finastra Loan IQ and Finastra Community Portal.
  • Proficient in Citrix.
  • Proficient in DataNet.
