Stifel's Venture Banking team is seeking a Director or Managing Director to lead origination efforts and drive growth in the Boston market. This role focuses on building relationships with venture-backed companies across diverse industries, sourcing new opportunities, and structuring innovative debt solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong network within the venture capital ecosystem and proven experience in venture lending and portfolio management.

• Originate new relationships with venture-backed companies and their investors, driving deal flow for both debt and deposit opportunities.
• Build and maintain relationships with founders, executives, and VC firms to meet business objectives.
• Represent Stifel at industry events and actively build the Venture Banking brand in the Boston market.
• Oversee deal processes, including structuring, underwriting, documentation, and closing.
• Manage a portfolio of venture-backed clients, deploying Stifel's platform resources to support growth.
• Recruit, develop, and lead a team of venture banking professionals.
• Collaborate with Stifel leadership to develop new products and leverage the broader Stifel platform (Investment Banking, Wealth Management, etc.).

• Proven origination track record in venture banking, venture debt, or related financial services.
• Deep relationships within the VC ecosystem and strong business development skills.
• Advanced knowledge of venture lending, structuring, underwriting, and portfolio management.
• Strong leadership skills with experience managing teams and client portfolios.
• Excellent communication skills (written and oral) and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

• Minimum Required: Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Business, Accounting, Economics or related field or equivalent experience
• Minimum Required:10+ years' of relavent experience in venture bankding or related financial services 

• Minimum Required: None 

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook #LI-JK1
