
Description
The Insurance Solutions Specialist II assists with marketing the Firm's insurance products (Life, LTC, and Disability) to Financial Advisors and clients, as well as helping them and other branch personnel with product-specific questions and technical, sales, and marketing matters. The Specialist II has a strong understanding of the uses of Life insurance in estate planning and business applications, including, but not limited to, business succession, buy-sell, key person, and non-qualified deferred compensation plans. This position also assists in order entry and updating IT systems with current product specifications and marketing concepts. This position assists in developing and leading campaigns highlighting protection planning, policy reviews, and unique insurance-related opportunities.
What We're Looking For
• Communicates updates, maintains, and coordinates sales strategies, marketing campaigns, and branch visits to create product awareness and increase sales penetration of insurance products.
• Coordinates content from insurance vendors updates marketing materials and creates Stifel-branded pieces highlighting insurance solutions for use in newsletters and social media.
• Handles incoming calls from Financial Advisors, including problem-solving, idea generation, and acting as a liaison between vendors and/or SN/Financial Advisors.
• Assists with due diligence on insurance providers, reviews selling agreements, and supports a recommended list of providers.
• Assists with the planning, organizing, and executing of insurance-related conferences and meetings.
• Assists with the planning and delivery of training sessions on insurance products.
• Travels, as needed, to meet with branch offices, Financial Advisors, and clients to provide insurance training and solutions.
What You'll Bring
• Solid knowledge of principles and methods for showing, promoting, and selling products or services. This includes marketing strategy and tactics, product demonstration, sales techniques, and sales control systems.
• Working knowledge of media production, communication, and dissemination techniques and methods, including alternative ways to inform and entertain via written, oral, and visual media.
• Thorough understanding of insurance products and insurance companies.
• General knowledge of laws, legal codes, precedents, government regulations, and agency rules; familiarity with insurance product compliance issues.
Education & Experience
• Minimum Required: Bachelor's Degree in Marketing or a business-related field.
• Minimum Required: 3+ years of industry experience.
Licenses & Credentials
• Minimum Required: FINRA Series 7 & 63.
• Minimum Required: State Resident Insurance License, Life and Health.
Systems & Technology
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
